Last year, we utilized the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The government offered free breakfast and lunch to all schools in the NSLP for 2021-2022. The free lunch program ended in May, so the Archdiocese looked for alternatives for several schools to switch to for 2022-2023. There was a committee of Principals that interviewed and ultimately decided to move forward with Sami’s catering.
A monthly menu will go home for students to choose the days they would like school lunch. Parents will make payment to the school for the number of lunches for the entire month. EXTRA LUNCHES WILL NOT BE ORDERED.
March Menu
Students may order using the paper copy sent home, or by using >THIS GOOGLE FORM<. The form will remain active for the entire month, and automatically sends parents a copy of their responses. When parents click the link, they will be required to select an option for each day (main lunch, vegetarian option, or "home lunch"). Each Thursday around 3pm, the choices for the following week will be removed so we can place the order with the caterer.
The price for lunches are set by Sami’s Catering and are as follows:
The Archdiocese will continue to offer financial support in the form of free and reduced lunches. The Catholic Schools Office utilized individual family information in FACTS that determined a family’s tuition assistance to identify qualified students. Families who qualify for free and reduced lunch prices have already been notified. The Archdiocese will notify the school office of any future free or reduced lunch families.
If a student forgets their lunch, parents WILL be allowed to bring lunch to the school prior to 10:30 am. This allows time for school staff to ensure the lunch gets to the classroom for the student. Lunch should be dropped off at the school office; please do not knock on the cafeteria doors with hot lunches for students. The teachers will not open the door.
Students need to eat in order to fuel their brain and their body to perform during the school day. If a student does not order school lunch and does not bring lunch from home, they will be given a Lunchable and a water bottle from the school. Parents will be billed $5 for the Lunchable.
Our school contact for anything related to the lunches will be Mrs. Ontiveros. You can reach her at [email protected]
NOTE: This year we will NOT be serving breakfast for any students. Please makes sure your child has breakfast prior to dropping them off. Students will not be allowed to eat breakfast in the classroom.
