How do I apply to OLG?
Please contact the school office at 713-224-6904 to find the availability in each grade level. Then you will need to provide all required documents and have students be screened/take a test. The Admissions Committee will review the student’s application. If approval is given, the family will then need to fill out a registration packet and pay registration fees to be placed on a class list.
Does my student need to take a test for admissions?
Yes. All applicants are required to participate in admissions screening/testing. Please contact the office in order to schedule this.
Are siblings given preference?
Siblings of students presently attending Our Lady of Guadalupe School are given preference in admissions when spaces are available.
When is the last day to apply?
Families can apply for the 2016-2017 until all spots are filled for each class.

Is financial aid available at Our Lady of Guadalupe School?
Who is eligible?
Students in grades K-8 attending or accepted by a school in the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston.
Are PreK-3 and PreK-4 students eligible for tuition assistance?
Students in the Early Childhood Program are only eligible for tuition assistance through the Archdiocese if they have an older sibling in the elementary or middle school grades. Otherwise, they are not eligible to receive tuition assistance. Please note that these students are eligible and not guaranteed tuition assistance.
How do I apply for financial aid, and what determines the level of financial aid?
In order to be considered for financial aid each family must complete a PSAS (Private School Aid Service) application. Click here to access an application form. There is a $26 fee for each application. PSAS then ranks families based on need, and the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston then allocates funds to families.
Am I required to fill out a PSAS application?
No, families are not required to complete a PSAS form. However, neither the Archdiocese nor Our Lady of Guadalupe can grant ANY tuition assistance without an application on file with PSAS. Additionally, a $50 tuition discount will be given to families that have a PSAS application submitted and cleared by the due date.
When is the PSAS application due for the 2016-2017 school year?
Can I apply after the deadline?
Yes, families can still apply even after the deadline. However 90% of the funds available for tuition assistance are awarded to those qualifying families whose applications were received prior to the January 30th deadline.
When is tuition due?
What happens if I am late on a tuition payment?
A $35 late fee will be charged when tuition is paid after the 5th of the month.
When are my registration fees due?
Registration fees are due at the time of registration and are non-refundable.
When are other fees such as the Academic Fees due?
All fees (other than Registration) are due prior to the first day of school. It is suggested to pay fees in July in order to avoid a larger payment in August.
How is my monthly tuition payment calculated?
Monthly tuition payments are calculated by dividing your family’s annual tuition amount by the 10 months of the school year (August-May).
How can I pay tuition?
Tuition may be paid with cash, check or money order. Automatic bank withdraws are also available through Gradelink. Please contact the bookkeeper for more information on how to sign up.
Can tuition be paid in full?
Yes. Tuition that is paid in August in full for the year will receive a 5% discount.
